Earlier this year Laura Crofts joined the St Moritz Cricket Club committee. Not only has Laura very good knowledge of the game, and in particular women's cricket, she also offers some
gender diversity and youth to the organising committee. We take this opportunity to introduce her to the wider Cricket on Ice community.
"Growing up I loved any and all sports but I started playing cricket when I was 7 years old and never looked back. It has took me to some amazing places around the world and also introduced me to
so many great people which I am very grateful for. I played for Warwickshire CCC for 18 years and am now currently playing for Northamptonshire CCC.
As well as playing cricket, I have worked at various County Cricket Boards in England including Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Oxfordshire. It’s been fantastic to see how far the game has come
in recent years and I look forward to seeing it continue to grow and develop in the years to come.
COI is a fantastic event that every cricketer needs to experience (although don’t forget your COI fleece's, -16 is a bit chilly!) It’s ran by an amazing group of people and I’m very happy to be
joining the committee. I look forward to seeing all the teams in action in St Moritz and hopefully we will see a women’s team take to the ice in the not too distant future…"
You can meet Laura and the rest of the St Moritz CC committee at the next Cricket on Ice (17-19.2.2021).
