At Cricket on Ice 2019 participants & tournament gala dinner guests raised Fr 771 for the Swiss League against Cancer (Krebsliga Schweiz) which was promptly recognised by the charity.
European Cricket Network (ECN) TV

We are very pleased to announce that the European Cricket Network (ECN) TV will be at every match of the Cricket On Ice Trophy to catch all the action.
In addition to wicket-cams and cameras around the boundary, both umpires will also wear cameras to ensure we catch all the shots, wickets and decisions on the field and broadcast everything live on the ECN Facebook channel.

The final team we get to introduce are the team of officials for the 2019 Cricket On Ice Trophy.
The team of officials for this year's event are made up of three umpires - Peter de Boeck (B), Asvin Lakkaraju (CH), Alex Mackay (CH) - & scorers: Mirian Lodge (CH), Johnny Whitcombe (OCs).
The umpires are charged with keeping the tournament on time and to ensure that every match is played within the Spirit Of Cricket-On-Ice, in addition to making the occasional decision!
Our scorer(s) will record all the action for us to enjoy for generations to come!
Introducing the Lyceum Alpinum XI

The third of the four teams that will compete for the Cricket On Ice Trophy in 2019 are our St Moritz neighbours, the Lyceum Alpinum XI from Zuoz.
The Lyceum Alpinum is a private & boarding school just 25 kilometres along the valley from St Moritz in Zuoz. The cricket XI is made up predominantly of students from the school, but also include school-masters, cricket coaches and Old Boys of the school.
Students are typically sons & daughters of successful businessmen & women (not necessarily based in Switzerland). Catering for international students by offering German, Swiss, British & American educational systems, cricket has traditionally been played at the school to assist in developing character & team building skills. And there is always a professional cricket coach at hand at the school.
Introducing German Cricket Club

The fourth club in our series of introductions to teams that will compete for the Cricket On Ice Trophy in 2019 are from neighbouring Germany, German Cricket Club.
The German Cricket Club e.V. was founded by Old Boys from the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz and a couple of other cricket enthusiasts from Germany.
The goal is to promote cricket in Germany and German cricket abroad. One of the mid-term targets is to build a Home of German Cricket and most importantly to play with people alike in an
atmosphere that is simply enchanting. The GCC played its first tournament in Zuoz in 2018 and already reached the semi-final only to be defeated by the Marylebone CC.
Cricket on Ice will be the club's second appearance with fun-loving international players originating from Germany, Australia, India, Austria, Italy, New Zealand, UK and Switzerland.
Introducing the Old Cholmoleians XI

The second team in our series of introductions of teams that will compete in the Cricket On Ice Trophy 2019 are the retaining champions, the Old Cholmeleians XI.
We can announce that the next team to compete in next years Cricket on Ice #COI will be Cricket On Ice regulars, the Old Cholmeleians XI.
An Old Cholmeleians XI have been regular guests at Cricket on Ice since 1995. The Old Cholmeleians are old boys of Highgate School, a private school situated in North London. Highgate pupils excel academically & in sport and there are many famous ex-pupils that include judges, solicitors, politicians, pop singers, ex-professional cricketer (including Phil `Tuffers` Tufnell) and athletes.

St Moritz Cricket Club are your hosts for the most prestigious & unique event in the Swiss cricketing calendar, the Cricket on Ice Trophy #COI.
St Moritz Cricket Club (strictly by invitation only) are a conglomeration of friends & guests of Cricket on Ice.
SMCC draw cricketing guests from across Switzerland & the world. Over the years the team has included some famous current & ex-international cricketers, Swiss & foreign dignitaries, players from the Swiss cricketing community & friends of the President.

2019 Cricket On Ice tournament gala dinner

The 2019 Cricket On Ice gala dinner will once again be hosted by Hotel Steffani.
The evening begins with an apéro from 7pm, kindly sponsored by our hosts, the Hotel Steffani and guests will be invited to be seated for a delightful four-course meal created by the the Hotel
Steffani kitchen staff some time after 7.30pm.
Some short speeches, words of thanks and awards will be offered by the evening's Master of Ceremonies and captain of Old Cholmeleians XI, Mr. John Zani, and SMCC President Mr. John Hallam.

The Cricket On Ice chosen charity in 2019 is once again the Krebsliga Schweiz.
During the course of the event and at the Gala Dinner we will ask for donations for the Swiss League against Cancer (Krebsliga Schweiz) as we intend to raise money for this charity and make a donation in the name of our friend & colleague Peter Märky.
Announcing Cricket on Ice 2019

Cricket on Ice 2019, the 32nd edition and the most prestigious event in the domestic Swiss cricketing calendar, will take place on the lake of St Moritz from Thursday 14th to Saturday 16th February 2019.
As in previous years, four teams have been invited to participate in this three-day Twenty20 competition for the honour of lifting the prestigious Cricket On Ice Trophy.
