Introducing Gireesh Gaonkar
At the Cricket on Ice Trophy 2025 we welcome Mr Gireesh Gaonkar to the team of officials. We asked Gireesh to share a few words of introduction with us, and are very happy
to introduce him to the wider Cricket on Ice community in this article.
Gireesh has been on the ECB Middlesex County Panel for the last 6 years with a slew of National cup games and Premier league games under his belt.
Having played cricket in India at a decent level, he is an Advisory Partner at a management consulting firm based in London.
Gireesh says, "Ever since I heard about it last winter, I have been enamoured by the CoI concept and am elated to be part of the 2025 tournament. Having started my cricket with taped ball on concrete,
I can't wait to see the pace at which the ball zips through on ice".
