After four days on the ice, the Tallinn Hippos beat Old Cholmeleians in the final of Cricket on Ice 2025 to win the Cricket on Ice Trophy on Saturday 15th February 2025.
Old Cholmeleians won the toss & elected to bat on a glorious sunny day on the lake.
Jules Schlagmann (26) starred with the bat for Old Cholmeleians to make 104-7 in their allotted 15. Dave Robson was the pick of the Tallinn Hippos bowling attack (3-0-13-2) taking two wickets for just 13 runs.
Dave Robson (32) also batted well and along with the Hippos captain Stuart Hook (30) got them close to the required total. Despite the best efforts of OCs captain James Whybrow (3-0-33-2), it was Hippos Tim Cross (14no) & Kevin Bissett (11no) that took their team across the line with 1.4 balls to go, Tallinn Hippos scoring 106-4 in 13.2 overs to win by 6 wkts.

Catering on the Lake
The catering tent, located next to the cricket pitches, will provide warm lunches for players and officials by the Hotel Laudinella.
A complimentary meal ticket & one drink is included in the team fee and a bar serving drinks (beer, wine, tea and soft
drinks).
Tournament Gala Dinner
The 2025 Tournament Gala Dinner took place on Saturday 15th February beginning with an apéro at 7pm, compliments of the Hotel Laudinella.
Additionally there was a raffle, the proceeds from which will be evenly shared between the development of cricket in Switzerland and the tournament's chosen charity.
Players & officials received a complimentary invite and additional tickets were available for Fr. 140.- each.
